Runway Awareness and Avoidance Systems (RAAS) for 757
and 767
Improve Safety with Honeywell’s RAAS
Runway and taxiway accidents are a serious safety
concern. Honeywell’s Runway Awareness and Advisory
System (RAAS) improves situational awareness of the
flight crew during critical ground operations and a on
approach to landing, thus reducing the risk of runway
incursions.
Honeywell’s RAAS provides timely aural advisories to the
flight crew during taxi, takeoff, final approach,
landing and rollout. Working with the existing Mk V and
Mk VII Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Systems
(EGPWS), Honeywell’s RAAS uses GPS data to issue
advisories based on aircraft position when compared to
airport locations stored in the EGPWS Runway Database.
Honeywell software configuration PN -224-224 STC
approved now with STC amendments in process for PN
-228-228.
